What are the programmes they hold?
I ask because I have a friend here who wants to start a society —Campaign for the Restoration of Education Standard in Nigeria (CREST) —aimed primarily at combating examination malpractice at all education levels in Nigeria.Victor C. Another is "there's lots of things" etc. In my head, I say "oh, you mean there are a lot of things". Americans speak American because this is definitely not English. I am not an English major but love languages and my field entails a lot of writing.

I have noticed this a lot with Americans, who erroneously use "your" instead of "you're."

The other expression that is irksome is "I am good" and "first of all" followed by "second of all."
