So it's not surprising that the American foreign policy will go as far as to have Jim Clancy try to prove to the world that 54% of us Nigerians are supporters of terrorism. Now they are giving us a bad name. One cant help but wonder how they plan to hang us. Alarmist?

As for the coincidence of you sharing the same first name with Mutallab, I think you can just shrug it off. I once posted a comment on a website having predominantly Western visitors and, because my name is Muhammed, someone condemned my view by simply rsponding with the comment "Prophet Muhammed!!!". And you can imagine the direction that this comment took the minds of the next few respondents.

Cant wait to see the rest of your article. But i find it a duty to shower praises on you for always speaking out the truth WHEN and WHERE it matters most. Someone wrote on your facebook wall, “.....In 2010 you're gonna WIN!!”. But you have been winning all the way.

More grease!

Muhammed Sani Ibrahim.Muhammedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16484424084606915039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625710219374323467.post-15331159711015431142010-01-02T05:22:28.833-05:002010-01-02T05:22:28.833-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Muhammedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16484424084606915039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625710219374323467.post-69048085173365215342010-01-02T00:45:07.632-05:002010-01-02T00:45:07.632-05:00I am honored, Farooq. As an American who grew up here in the state of Georgia, it is so humbling to see my city and state as you see it. I just wanted to let you know that I'm enjoying your posts and will recommend your blog to friends. As for being "Nigerian, but not a terrorist," it is a shame that you have to put up with that. You are absolutely right that stereotypes are just laziness. I hope you never have to suffer like your Iranian student did due to what basically amounts to misplaced fear.

(You may notice that the name I write under, "Cracker," is a derogatory name for poor whites. I write a blog about my intercultural marriage to a Latino man, and use the name to try and take the sting out of that particular stereotype.)

Thanks again for your intriguing blog!Crackerhttp://www.arepasandgravy.comnoreply@blogger.com
