Both of them won their elections.

Jonathan won his election in 2011 with a northern Muslim VP who couldn't deliver his own state of Kaduna while Buhari repeatedly ended up with only his mainly northern votes in three different attempts until with the formidable alliance and support of other stakeholders like Tinubu, nPDP members lead by 5 PDP Govs, Saraki and Dogara leading quite a number of decampee NASS members to deliver Buhari in 2015.

Today I see Tinubu and Dogara if paired on an APC ticket to upset more than the usual religious/regional considerations.

Dogara may be a minority in tribe and religion considering his region but if those sentiments were to subsist, the minorities across the entire north will easily identify and rally with him Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15683309665079152342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625710219374323467.post-62140512156569710752022-03-05T04:18:27.937-05:002022-03-05T04:18:27.937-05:00I understand the point here, but the premise is st...I understand the point here, but the premise is still wrong. You can't aggregate your assumption by taking the southwest as an indivisible bloc. You have to look at it State by State. For instance, what you said might be true for Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti states because of the assumption that Christians are the majority there. In Oyo state, Muslims have been the governor with the exception of Akala and the current Makinde. In Osun, only Oyinlola was the Christian while the others have been Muslims. In fact, Ademola Adeleke had to assure the people that he was a Muslim before he could be accepted as a candidate in his domain. So Prof, maybe reconsider the premise of your assumption and see whether the conclusion still holds true.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09883800356632281215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625710219374323467.post-58715314568151535102022-03-05T02:25:08.052-05:002022-03-05T02:25:08.052-05:00...a very objective analysis.
