ABOUT THIS BLOG

This blog chronicles my thoughts on politics, culture, education, journalism and communication, Nigeria, America, English grammar, Nigerian English, socio-linguistics, academia, and a whole host of other subject-matters. Most of the essays in this blog simultaneously appear(ed) in my weekly newspaper columns in Nigeria.

"Notes from Atlanta," which started in 2005, appeared every Saturday in the print and online editions of the Abuja-based Daily Trust on Saturday (former Weekly Trust ), the weekend edition of the Daily Trust until it was stopped in December 2018. It now appears on the back page of Saturday Tribune, the weekend edition of the Nigerian Tribune and the Peoples Gazette. "Politics of Grammar" used to appear every Sunday in  Daily Trust on Sunday (formerly Sunday Trust) but was stopped in December 2018.

I also occasionally share my social media posts here, particularly if the posts are lengthy.
