This photo is NOT Education Minister Adamu Adamu celebrating the graduation of his son from a UK university, as several people, including the cantankerous president of NANS, have been alleging. Adamu has NO son who graduated from a UK university.

This is NUC Executive Secretary Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed rejoicing with his son who earned a PhD in Engineering from the University of Aberdeen in the UK in November 2017.

The son, who teaches at a Nigerian university, started his PhD program in late 2014 through a TEFFUND Scholarship award. Prof. Rasheed became NUC Executive Secretary in August 2016. So, there's no connection between the son's education in the UK and the fact of Rasheed being the NUC boss.

  1. Generally speaking, the Nigerian social media space is driven by ignorance and conspiracy theories. Often times, infantile and ridiculous news trend in Nigerian social media space because of mental poverty and intellectual laziness.
