Yesterday, I called Justice Peter Lifu's judgment calling for the deregistration of ADC and other parties "pure judicial banditry." The Court of Appeal in Abuja just called it "judicial rascality." Same difference. A judicial rascal is a judicial bandit.

A senior editor told me a while ago that Lifu's judicial banditry (or, to use the Court of Appeal's language, rascality) isn't ordinary. He said a certain minister of particular concern who shall remain nameless "overfed" Lifu to the point that Lifu took leave of his senses and committed what I like to call, borrowing from Hausa, "judicial santi," i.e., lyrical excess activated by satiation from sumptuous food.

For some cultural context on "santi," read this April 21, 2025, article titled, "'Santi': My Wife’s Favorite Hausa Word."

If Nigeria were a regular country, Lifu should have been out of his job by now. But nothing will happen to him.

And all the illiterate lawyers who validated that rape of elemental justice, I am looking at all of una with one kain eye. Una go school so? Or are you all judicial "santied"?
