Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, former Emir of Kano, otherwise known as Tsohon Sarkin Kano, said in a text to someone who inquired about about his engineering of the demotion of el-Rufai's CoS for calling him "former emir of Kano" that "this whole thing was just a hilarious banter fa."
Well, this video of the Chief of Staff sinking to his knees several times in supplication to Sanusi to forgive him gives the lie to his claim.
As you can see, the Chief of Staff is the only person curtsying to Sanusi. The fact that the young man knelt repeatedly in supplication to Sanusi is all the evidence we need to know that this wasn't "a banter." One groveling, obviously, wasn't enough. It had to be done multiple times. Obviously, the CoS saw that one or two groveling didn't work, so he did it many times. Plus, the young man lost his job.
A deposed king who can lie this casually deserves his fate.
